We understand that you're showing high usage for Maps over the recent days and looking for information on why this could be occurring. We'd be glad to look into this with you.
As you state that the Map app is reporting usage continuously, are you seeing that the app is running in the background or do you close all apps? If you need help with closing your apps, take a look at the following resource:

If you see that there are multiple apps open in the background including Maps, let's close those out to and monitor the screen time usage to see if this adjusts back to normal for you.
