I noticed today in my screen time report that I’d gone from 4-6 hours a day to 18+ average this past week. 5 of the last 7 days it says I’ve had 24 hours of maps usage which accounted for my stark increase. I have two cars with Bluetooth so I get maps notifications when my car initially turns on, but I never use it much beyond that. Anyone else experiencing this?

As you state that the Map app is reporting usage continuously, are you seeing that the app is running in the background or do you close all apps? If you need help with closing your apps, take a look at the following resource:

If you see that there are multiple apps open in the background including Maps, let's close those out to and monitor the screen time usage to see if this adjusts back to normal for you. If that doesn't help, check to see if you have any updates available for the iOS as well as any apps on your iPhone. If you need help with these updates, take a look at the following resources:

i close out my apps every time I finish using them, phone is fully updated, background app refresh is off too. I’ll give support a call.
