botello2710:

Depending on your Mac build year version, see

options to upgrade newer version macOS:

• How to get old versions of macOS - Apple Support

These are downloadable installers; and your Mac

could sustain an upgrade through this channel.

Be sure to correctly identify the model & build year.

Hi botello2710,

Your Mac runs macOS, not iOS :)

To update macOS on your computer, first make a Time Machine backup, then check one of these places:

  • If your Mac is running macOS Mojave or later, open System Preferences, then select Software Update.

  • If your Mac is running macOS High Sierra or earlier, open the App Store and select the Update tab.

Alternatively, open the App Store and search for the latest version of macOS. At the time of writing, it's macOS Big Sur.
