Apple Watch on cellular network

I would like to purchase two apple watches for my kids before they go back to school. I currently have two iPhones on a prepaid plan. I don’t believe they give the option to add a device like an Apple Watch. Can I get service through another provider an have two numbers dedicated to the watches so they can operate on a cellular data?
