Some messages not showing up on my iphone.

I got a new iphone 11 recently and am finding that there are two different message threads for the same person (one on the iphone and a different thread in my computers' Messages). Therefore I cannot see the message that my computer received on my iphone which is becoming very troublesome. I checked my Contact info for the person on the iphone and computers and they look to me the same (they should be iCloud Synced).

Is it me or them? What to do? A remedy would be appreciated?

We understand you're seeing two different message threads for one contact on your iPhone and Mac. We'd be happy to provide information to help you address this.

On your Mac, go to Messages Preferences > iMessage and check to make sure Messages in iCloud is checked in.

On your iPhone, go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud and make sure Messages is enabled.

It may take a bit, but the messages should sync and you should see a single thread.
