Family Sharing messed up photos, bookmarks, etc.

Hi Apple Community,

I have activated family sharing back in 2018 for my wife and myself with no problems until a few weeks ago where our photos (some not all) have merged, I can see her bookmarks and other details without actually changing anything in the settings. We are using two difference apple IDs. The peculiar thing is that I can see her bookmarks but she is not; and some of our photos she has have appeared in my photo camera roll album. Can anyone help please? Is this related to the new iOS version as all settings appear normal.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you’ve recently noticed that some of your wife’s photos are combined with yours. We’re happy to help.

Have you or wife made any changes to your device recently? While we see that you mentioned you are using different Apple ID emails, we’d like you to check to make sure that no changes have been made. Please go to Settings > Your name on each device. Does it show that a different Apple ID is signed in on each device?

Hello green500. Thank you for your quick reply. I checked her phone and she is logged in with her Apple ID in both the Cloud section and Apple Store. So it is quite peculiar why this suddenly happened. And to make things more complicated, I am able to see her bookmarks along with her photos. She also complained that there were a few (not all) photos appearing on her device. I am left with a big question mark on how is this even possible since we use two different Apple IDs in two different devices.

Please shed some light here as I don't want to start deleting photos and these to be removed from both accounts.
