My iPad Pro 12.9 is stuck in a reboot loop

My iPad Pro 12.9 is stuck in a reboot loop. I have been having problems with the ipad spontaneously rebooting for a couple months or needing to be hard rebooted. Now it is stuck in a loop. Hard rebooting doesn't work. I tried using itunes and it won't work either. The next step is to download software from sites I don't recognize and I'm pretty sure it won't be free. Any help would be appreciated before I spend hundreds of dollars at a repair place to get my $1,400 brick (ipad) to work. Thanks in advance.
