Pencil 2 is rough on iPad Air 4

Recently switched from iPad 6th gen (and 1st gen pencil) to iPad Air 4 (and 2nd gen pencil). I cannot help notice that the pencil feels very rough on the magnetic screen of the iPad Air 4. The difference is so evident because I've been having such a butter super smooth gliding experience on my earlier iPad and pencil... However, the new is comparatively very rough. I'm not feeling happy about this. I even got the iPad replaced assuming it might be the problem of a single device. But even the replaced device feels the same (or worse) in terms of pencil roughness.

Does anyone else also have the same issue?

Several reports have been seen within these support communities of similar experience. The general consensus is that this roughness is a characteristic of the particular screen used with the Air4.

Whilst some users have taken advantage of Apple’s 14-day unconditional return period, in which to exchange their iPad, many have commented that the replacement is no different. Some others have chosen an entirely different iPad model - whilst others have installed a screen protector (which they may have intended to do anyway) so as to introduce an entirely different screen surface.

Agreed.

This is unacceptable… They’ve offered me a replacement for the third time since they do not have a refund policy in India.

I’m really struggling with this pathetic experience which is never expected from Apple. I can’t go about rounds of replacements infinitely… I just want to return this thing and get done with it.
