App Store asking for Apple ID loop

just bought a MacBook Pro 13' M1 chip

I do not have any other devices and this is my first apple device

I do have an Apple ID, when I try to download something from my Appstore, it asks me for my Apple ID, which starts a loop of "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the App Store.

please review your account information"

which then asks me to login again and the same.

my system recognises that I have an Apple ID tho but not for the media & purchases

I have also already entered my payment, billing, shipping info into my account

Hi Rohith,

In that case, try to log in to the new Apple ID on the Manage your Apple ID website. Update your information here. Then proceed to the next step.

Quit the Mac App Store, then relaunch it while holding the Shift key on your keyboard until it opens the app, then release they Shift key. This should remove the app's saved state.

If you're using a VPN or security software, we'd recommend to disable them and restart the device. As these may be blocking the connection.

Should it persist, attempt to purchase apps when in safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac

Depending on the results, use section, 'If the issue continues in safe mode' and 'If the issue doesn't continue in safe mode' to resolve it.

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers!

That's the issue I am unable to sign in to the apple store in Mac because of this loop that comes whenever I try to login. My Apple ID was created while I was buying this MacBook via tele-sales and the specialist just made an Apple ID for me based only on my email and I did go on to add more details to it later on (like shipping address payment details etc)

the loop looks like this

this just loops on and on

cheers,

Rohith

Hello Rohith2001,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, you can't download apps in the Mac App Store due to a sign in Apple ID loop. We'll do our best to assist.

Congratulations on your new MacBook Pro!

It sounds like you may need to simply sign in to the App Store: Sign in to the App Store on Mac

In the screenshot, you'd also want to be signed in to the new Apple ID in System Preferences > Apple ID > Media & Purchases.

Once both of these locations are signed in, try to make a purchase or download a past purchase to test it out.

Let us know if the issue continue and any new details that might assist.

Wishing you the best, take care.
