Remote Print using wi-fi through Spectrum modem

How do I set up my Mac using High Sierra to connect to my Laserjet color printer using my Spectrum wi-fi router? It keeps telling me that there is no printer connected and my printer is on.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

The HP Color LaserJet Pro M452nw is mentioned in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting the driverless AirPrint technology, so it should work without additional drivers from the printer manufacturer, if the printer and the computer are connected to the same network. The printer could be wirelessly connected to the Wi-Fi router, or it could use an Ethernet connection to one of the LAN ports.


There are several possible Spectrum router models.


By "remote print", I assume that you mean wireless printing within the local Wi-Fi network.
