exchange keeps forgetting my password

About every 2 or 3 weeks, I get a message telling me to enter my password for one of my Exchange email accounts. My nerd at work said the best way to solve this is to delete the account and add it back again. This seems dumb, and it takes a long time for the emails to rebuild themselves. Ideas?

Hi jlcatthebeach,

We understand that you're experiencing issues where you're repeatedly being prompted to enter in your password for your Exchange account in the Mail app. For this, we'd recommend following the steps in If Mail on your Mac keeps asking for your password. However, if your password isn't being accepted when prompted, you'll have to remove and then add back your mail account as seen in the article provided.

In addition, looking at the article you came from, are you having any issues with iCloud mail?

If this is a reoccurring issue with only your Exchange account, you may want to reach out to your mail provider to see if there's any issues on their end that may be causing this.

Cheers.
