I click on the link to go to the Mojave install and clink on the link and it says the file is damaged and i can't install it. What do I do now? I currently have High Sierra and want to install Mojave so I can use office 365. HELP

I clink on the link provided in previous questions to install Mojave but when the link opens up there is a tab 'open' which i click on and then a message that says the file is damaged and it can't download. I have a macbook Pro mid 2012 and want to change from High Sierra to mojave so i can download office 365. Does anyone know how I can install Mojave?

Thanks

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

The message saying the file is damaged is a bit misleading.

What it means is the App Store has detected a copy of the Install macOS Mojave.app

in your Applications folder. Locate it and move it to the Trash, empty the Trash.

Connect your mac to your router via cable.

Restart your mac.

Click on the link again and go to the App Store Mojave download page.

It will now say Get or Download, not Open.

Do not use the mac while it is downloading.

Do not use any other devices that share the same internet connection.
