Dual time display on calendar events

My wife just returned home from traveling in a different time zone. Now, the calendar on her iPhone 11 displays two time entries for every event. We've manually reset the phone's time zone in the calendar settings and the general settings. It continues to display two times for each event. How can we get the calendar to display only the correct time for the various events?

If I set a calendar time while I am in one location, will the time change if I move the computer/iPhone/iPad to another time zone? How do I prevent this?
