How to reset "Optimized Battery Charging" in MBP

I use my '20 Intel MBP exclusively as a desktop - it's always connected to AC power. I have enabled "Optimized Battery Charging" and it works as expected - typically keeping the battery charged at 75%-85%.

A couple of days ago, I had to reboot and now my battery is back to 100% even though I still have the OBC option checked.

My question: How long does it take for the MBP to "relearn" my charging habit so that it lets the battery drain down to a lower level and remain at that lower level? Is there a way to force it?

Thanks In Advance!

You are fine— you do not have to micro manage the BHM.

It can take a couple weeks plugged in 24/7 to have it float back down to your expected "75%-85%"

I see no issue here.

My 2020 Intel MacBook Pro is frequently connected to power and in the past it had taken as long as a week to before it would return to the plugged in not charging mode and start to drop to 80%. Recently it is not doing that (has been at 100% for 2 weeks or longer) and I am starting to suspect an issue with the last OS update.

I don't know of a way to force it.
