Health Data , distance walked incorrect.

iPhone XR. "Activity" correctly records the number of steps taken but distance walked, in kilometres, is always wrong, never shows more than 1 kilometre walked when I know the distance is at least 4 kilometres.

Have tried "resets" but cannot rectify the problem. Has anyone had similar problem and been able to fix?
