Got my new Macbook Air M1 and love it.

But all my MS Word docs, when I open them with either pages or textedit, lost their formatting.

Any remedy to convert word docs easily?

You can't. Pages, LibreOffice, Word, etc. all handle document formatting differently.

If they all formatted documents similarly there would be no need for separate apps.
