I routinely downloaded albums from my MacBook Pro to my IPhone 12Mini. This week with no change in hardware or settings Music will no longer transfer like it once did. Any idea why?

I sorted the problem out. On my MacBook Pro in the Music App went to location “My Phone” in the left column then under General unchecked “Manually manage music,movies, and TV shows”. This has always been checked in the past, but now when I uncheck it music downloads to my iPhone perfectly.

What format did you rip to? Are the files consolidated to the local media folder? Have you tried searching the library on the device in case they were copied but aren't shown where you'd expect to find them.

No error message. I select the Album (red box around it) then drag it to my iPhone in the left margin. In the past it instantly started downloading, but now it does not download and snaps back to the Album icon.
I used Apple Music to download the album. It’s in the Music app, can be played on the MacBook but won’t transfer to the IPhone which I have connected to the MacBook with a cable. This all worked great until this week, any chance the recent Mac software update had an impact?
Not without more information. Is there an error message when you try? Are your sync selections such that new content would automatically be included?

Is this album downloaded to your computer (not in the cloud), and not from the Apple Music subscription service?

Correct, it’s a CD I own downloaded with a remote optical drive to my Library in Music.
