My iPad doesn’t turn on with the case open?

Thanks for posting the screen shots.

I see that the Lock/Unlock options shows up in your search results however is not present when you try and find it under Display & Brightness. There is a reason for that and that is, It won’t appear in iPad settings unless a compatible folio or cover is used with the iPad first.

I noticed that the screen shot of your case suggests that it is compatible with Auto Sleep/Wake function however appears to be NOT working at all.

My recommendation is that you try another folio case to ensure that the function works and then rule out the iPad as being not an issue. You can then return the current case and purchase another one that actually works.

Is your case capable of auto sleep/wake feature? The case has to be capable of signaling the iPad. If you believe that your case is capable to trigger the auto sleep/wake feature, then open Settings ➔ Display & Brightness ➔ Lock/Unlock: Set this to ON.
