I purchased Apple Care + for my iPhone. I thought there was coverage for theft or loss, but reading the exceptions to coverage, I see that this is not covered. Is there an Apple insurance plan that covers that?

Theft & Loss coverage is only available in the U.S. and you must purchase the specific Apple Care+ plan that covers that which is more expensive the the regular one.
The standard plan does not cover Theft & Loss.
