Why can't I just CALL a number?

Hi, it’s for security purposes and to authorize and validate you iPhone. The Apple Card Customer Agreement that was delivered to you electronically and was signed electronically by you when you accepted the Apple Card offer specified that the Apple Card would need to be requested and activated with your iPhone.
Th Apple Card can be installed on your iPhone and used with just your iPhone and the physical card is not required. This is actually a safer and more secure method of charging items.
If you do not have an iPhone, you have an Apple Line of Credit that can only be used online at Apple.com and in physical Apple Retail Stores.
