If you have Always On enabled, why have raise to wake?
If I enable Alway On display, what is the purpose of having "Raise to Wake" turned on. You would still have to touch the screen or crown to go to an app.

Hello FEINJ,
Always On refers to the clock display "Always On lets Apple Watch display the watch face and time, even when your wrist is down. When you raise your wrist, Apple Watch functions fully."
If "Raise to Wake" is disabled and "Always on" is enabled some screen geniuses will be ignored and you would need to use the Crown rather than touch the screen to return to full brightness or launch Apps.. Also, with "Raise to Wake" on you can enable "Wake to your last activity" to launch certain Apps if they were the last App used.

I hope this is helpful for you.
I think you might be misinterpreting the reason Always On is available, Its more of a 'fashion over function' feature so your watch can look more like a traditional watch for others or when you are working with your arms but not raising wrist and can see the screen. I don't believe we are really ever supposed to see the dim display other than that. You can just reduce brightness or use Theater Mode if that's something you were looking for.
From what ai can tell, touching the screen wakes it to full brightness and allows you to use apps. If Raise to Wake is enabled, you would never see the dim screen unless it was hanging down at your side which would make it useless. The only time you would see the dim display is if you were staring at the Home Screen while it timed out. Am I missing something?
