2nd gen ipods

How do i check my email with a second gen ipod. I can open webpages but email is giving me trouble. So is weather.

Updating email on iPod I was given an iPod from my friend. It had an install needing to update. Now we can’t get into it because it’s not the current email so the password won’t work.
