How to clean MacBook pro speaker grills?

How to clean the holes? I have used cyber clean to clean them but the holes are still stuck with something can’t be removed

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.4

I've used a new, unused soft bristle child's toothbrush and canned air. I've read they are cosmetic anyway and don't actually penetrate the cover. That seems to be the case for both our MBPs.
