Please help, ever since I upgraded to IOS 14.6 the recent call logs in my iPhone XR keeps on disappearing. It cannot hold even a day or two log. Please help how to fix this problem.

Might you be sharing an Apple ID with someone else? If you are their calls will add to the list also, and they might be deleting yours.
Are you losing recents, or are they just falling off the list when the list reaches 100 calls (which is by design)? You can also see your complete call history of at least 18 months on your carrier’s web user portal or their app (if they have one).
The limit is not time-bound. The current limit is 100 last calls, that's it. You may send feedback to Apple here: https://www.apple.com/feedback/
I didn’t have this problem before until I upgraded to IOS Version 14.6. It’s giving me a lot of headache constantly losing recent call logs. I used to store as far as last year’s but now not a single one.
I’m just losing recents. I think I already know the answer to my problem. Thank u for ur help. I did an experiment. I went to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings. Voila! All the recents were gone again! I guess that solves the mystery.
Before I upgraded to IOS 14.6 I often do that ‘reset network settings’ whenever l have trouble getting internet signal and it doesn’t affect my recents. Now in IOS 14.6 it does delete recent call logs. Now I know, thank u for bringing me to the answer. I can finally catch up on my sleep! 😌
Yes, I am sharing my Apple ID with my iPod Touch but that’s just about it. There are no calls in ipod. I only use it to play music
No problem sharing an Apple ID with other devices you use; in fact, that’s a very useful feature. You shouldn’t share with other users, however. And it appears you don’t.
