how to rename an external drive I want to rename an external drive. I go into Disk Utility, right click the drive name, and for the DATA section of the drive, "rename" works. For the other section "rename" is dimmed. How do I rename an external drive? No, it won't let me rename it on the drive icon. That's the name I want to change.

Hello,

Hold your finger on the folder and you'll see a pop up with multiple options. Choose 'Rename Folder' or anything like that.
