Apple TV Control TV and Receivers

What is the expected behaviour of this setting?

I believe a bug in my Sony tv actually gave me my preferred behaviour, whereby turning the Apple TV on changed the tv input to the right one, and putting it to sleep switch the input back to what it previously was.

This bug has now been patched and putting the Apple TV to sleep turns off my TV, is that correct?
