Using External Microphone to Make Calls on the iphone

I have a Shure MV7 Microphone connected(USB-b to Lightning cable) to an iphone12 and it can Record using ShurePlus Motive and other Applications can use it with no issue. How can i use it during a Phone Call? Does the Apple Phone Application not allow this? (as soon as i open the Phone App the external microphone is no longer connected (no LEDs active on microphone).

CarPlay microphone not working properly on iOS16 on iPhone 14 ProMax I have two iPhone 14 Pro Maxes that I got last week that are running iOS 16. Since upgrading my phones, when I connect to either of my cars (both Subarus) via Apple cable to CarPlay and make a call, the caller can barely hear me. Prior to upgrade, I had an iPhone 11 Pro Max and an iPhone 12 Pro Max using CarPlay in these same vehicles using the same cables and people could hear me clear as ever. Actually, I was always very impressed at how clearly the microphone picked up and filtered out background noise. So is this problem iOS 16? Or is it the iPhone 14 Pro Maxes? I’ve not tested to see if it’s using the phone’s microphone or not. I just know that I sound like I’m VERY far away from the mic and very quiet. If I’m on a call and unplug from CarPlay or just tap my speakerphone button, they can hear me perfectly fine. So I don’t think it’s using my phone’s microphone… or if it is, it’s using it in regular phone mode, not speakerphone mode. I make many calls from the car, so this is not good! I also had Subaru update my head unit (factory) to the latest version just to ensure it wasn’t something with my car. But it’s happening with two phones, two cars, so I think we can say it’s definitely the phones/iOS.

Speech to text not working while connected to blue tooth in my Tesla Speech to text works fine on my iPhone when I am not connected to my Tesla (using my phone as a key to the car). However, once I connect to the car after pressing the speech to text button in the messaging app (or any other app) it appears that the microphone is not receiving any input when I speak. Additionally, dictating texts via the car into the phone seems to work. i have tried the following with no luck: turned Bluetooth on and off on my phone restarted my phone unpaired my phone from the car and reset the phone as the car key Just updated to ios16 have the latest version of s/w on my tesla Can someone help?

When will call recording feature be on iPhone? All android phone provide inbuilt recording while ios user don’t have call recording feature in iPhone and it also don’t allow any 3 rd party app to record call automatically. The main reason behind this is privacy issue my question to apple community is when we call from android to iPhone. The android device can record the conversation of both ios and android device then how the privacy is maintained. The privacy is maintained only when android device is not able to record conversation of ios user and many people are facing the problem and issue when they are not able to record calls so I think apple should provide inbuilt call recording app for ios user.
