Video length changes when I import

When I import a video onto FCP, the duration increases. For example, if the video is 16 minutes, it's 17 minutes in FCP. I don't have that problem with audio files, just video files (I use MP4 but I tried other formats too. I didn't change anything with the settings and it suddenly started to do that. I tried on a new macbook, so it's all factory settings and I still have the same problem. Please help =(

Are you sure you selected the whole duration when adding to the project?

Also: what are clip and the project frame rates?

If the clip is 24fps and the project is 25fps that could explain the discrepancy, as the clip would be slightly sped up.
