I pay for lots of extra icloud storage on my iphone. However, icloud drive is taking up space. I thought cloud services would not take up storage space on my phone. If I go to manage storage, if I want to delete files, it says it would delete from all devices and from the cloud. How can I keep my cloud files but fix this icloud drive storage issue?

You'll find Browse in the Files app. The Files app shows you all of your iCloud Drive files. If you're unable to find it, you may need to redownload it. Files on the App Store

The files are stored in iCloud Drive, there are no files under iPhone.

To clarify the issue, if you open Files > Browse > Locations, are the files stored in iCloud Drive or On My iPhone? If they are stored On My iPhone, are you able to move them to iCloud Drive? Use the Files app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If so, does that help reduce the iCloud Drive space on your iPhone?
