I upgraded my 12 core Mac Pro (mid 2012): 3.46 Ghz Intel xeon 5690; 56 gigs of ram; 8G graphic card, metal supported. Is this compatible with Big Sur? If yes, how do i get it and install it?

No a Mac Pro from 2012 can only upgrade as far as macOS Mojave 10.14.6.


macOS Big Sur is compatible with the following computers. 

MacBook introduced in 2015 or later

MacBook Air introduced in 2013 or later

MacBook Pro introduced in late 2013 or later

Mac mini introduced in 2014 or later

iMac introduced in 2014 or later

iMac Pro

Mac Pro introduced in 2013 or later
