Apple I.D. connected to my mom’s phone number

Okay so my Apple I.D. is somehow connected to my mom’s phone number??? I took myself off the family plan and they’re still connected to each other. For example, my Apple I.D. photo is her contact photo in my phone??? Whenever i try to change one, they both change to be the same photo. And when someone airdrops me something, the name that pops up is “Mother” (which is her contact name in my phone). My name doesn’t pop up, her contact name does. My mom and I have no clue why my phone does this so does anyone know???

You need to remove the number on your Apple ID. You may have to add the new number before you can remove the old number. After the change, allow up to 24 hours for the change to sync. Before trying to make the change, sign out of Messages/FaceTime on all devices/computers.
