Strange Apple Card Interest Rate

Anyone else run into this? The rep at Apple Card/Goldman Sachs tells me there is only one rate, except for military members. Seems odd. My credit score has improved by close to 100 points since I got the card years ago. Everything else is as it should be. Etc.

Hi, when you apply for the Apple Card, Goldman Sachs Bank (Apple Card issuer and servicer) does a soft pull of your credit report and offers you your Credit Line and APR. The soft pull does not affect your credit report.

When you accept the Credit Line/Limit and APR you electronically sign and agree to the terms of the Apple Credit Card Agreement (ACCA). The ACCA is also delivered to you electronically and there’s a link to it below.

The ACCA offers an opportunity to increase your Credit Limit (link below). However, there is no provision for requesting a change of APR. When you applied for the Apple Card, your account was assigned an APR and basically that’s it. There is no process for requesting a change of APR. Please read the ACCA you agreed to.

I certainly understand how this could lead to confusion and disappointment. But as someone who has had credit cards for 40+ years, I can count on one or two fingers the number of credit cards that have ever lowered my APR.
