iphone exchange email backup

Our exchange server crashed but my exchange emails are downloaded on my iphone. When the exchange server comes back up it will be minus any previous emails. Once the server comes back up it will sync with my iphone and clear all stored emails.

How can I download these emails from my iphone or upload them to the icloud. From what I read, the icloud only backs up mail contacts and setting, not actual emails? I need some way to preserve these emails before the exchange server comes back on line.

I figured it out. I created an IMAP email account (Gmail) on my iPhone and was able to Edit, Select All my emails in the Exchange in box and Move them to the Gmail inbox. Did the same for the Exchange sent email box into the Gmail sent email box.

My other email accounts on my iPhone weren't IMAP thus weren't hightlighted and thus the Exchange email couldn't Move to those accounts.

You can save your messages as PDF files so that you can still access them after the exchange server is available again. You can learn more here: Save and mark up PDFs on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with the Books app

Currently, the iOS doesn't include a feature which would allow you to export all your mail messages. Feel free to share any feedback about this with Apple directly here: iPhone Feedback

Thank you for a solution. Unfortunately, I have over 1,000 emails and to do this for each email would be difficult. I don't see any way to select all and do all at once.

I tried moving the emails to another email account but the other email accounts on the phone aren't highlighted and will not let me perform that move.

Still looking for a solution.
