I'm working with an adult with MS who has a very soft voice due to breath control issues. He is using voice control to navigate his iPad Pro 12.9" 5th Generation but I think he needs a microphone to increase success. Any recommendations on a lapel/clip-on microphone that would be compatible with his device?

It may be worthwhile directly contacting Apple Support - and ask to speak with an Accessibility Specialist. Apple have a team dedicated to offering support for accessibility issues. They will be able to offer help and support with suggestions for disabled users.
