Apple Card Application

I applied for an Apple Card to hopefully finance a new phone but when I applied it gives me this

  • Your monthly debt obligations are too high given your income - examples may include loan or monthly housing payments

Now I’m 18 and I don’t have an debts or obligations. I called the number below the email and they said they would send my report and I checked and I’m good. No one is using my name or anything else it just won’t accept me for this reason of the debt. I called the bank handing those cards and they said once I did figure everything to call them back and apply but once I did again, nothing happened and have me the same reason. What should I do? Again I don’t have credit started nor debt.

This message likely means your income isn't high enough for Apple Card, even if you don't have any monthly debt obligations. As someone with an almost identical experience, your best bet would be to build credit history with another card, maintain good credit, and try applying again in 6 or 12 months.
