Samsung SSD T7 and MacBook Air m2 Huge problems with Samsung ssd t7 not recognized by MacBook Air m2. Spent hours on phone with technical support. They continued to emphasize that drive was dead. Took to apple Genius Bar, confirmed that m2 has major issues in recognizing t7 Samsung ssd. I have changed settings, changed privacy, activated kernel but won’t work. Genius bar mentions a patch would be available in future. Huge disappointment!! Anyone could make it work please advise. The drive is not recognized in disk utilities but seen as usb under system report. Works perfectly with older mac and even m1.

It may need to be Erased before Finder can show it as available.

Is the drive listed in Disk Utility when you "show all devices"?

Thats not going to work because the MacBook Pro will not allow permission to be granted to that T7 Samsung drive.I tried and even called Samsung and then Apple. Unfortunately neither vendor has an answer or solution to this problem. My suggestion and next step I am approaching is Samsung forum. Good Luck
