apple music subscription trial - cant figure out how to put any of those songs on apple watch

Note the next few sentences talk about stuff you listen to showing up (not that Ive seen it happen yet)...but details regarding picking songs to go on there is unclear?? When I go to music watch app and i select +add music Im only shown songs that i own
