Changing passcode- no apple suggestions?
I really need this to work, got a new phone and suddenly I have to go back to one simple passcode for all apps….

If you mean iPhone will not suggest a strong password for some apps or accounts then it is down to the website or app dev to code the password field properly.
You can create your own strong password by stringing together 15 or more random characters but write it down first in case the app or website does not trigger the Save Password mechanism. In that case you need to manually add it to Keychain in Settings, Passwords.

Turn on Keychain in iPhone and Mac settings.
iPhone - settings, your name, iCloud, Keychain, toggled on
Mac - System Preferences, AppleID, iCloud, Keychain, checked.
still there is something more going on… my MacBook doesn’t use keychain anymore and if I go into it the password for my Apple ID is wrong, it’s not updated… and it doesn’t autofill anywhere
