Root password for the terminal
I forgot my terminal sudo password and i thought it is as same as my laptop login, but unfortunately it is not also taking or accepting that password. Any idea how solve this issue?

You also need to press the "Return" key after entering the password to submit the password. Make sure the Caps Lock key is not accidentally enabled.
Are you using the Terminal in a user account with admin privileges? Or is a Standard User account configure to allow for running certain commands using "sudo"?
Hi eegte,
The default sudoers policy only allows for administrators and the root user to call sudo. What error message are you seeing when you enter your password for sudo?
Also, as mentioned by BobTheFisherman, no characters appear when you type your password in Terminal. This is normal. Just simply type your password and hit Enter (Return) to proceed.
The password is your login password. What happens when you type in the password? The password is not echoed to the screen when typing it.

Root User Password:
Do you literally mean the Root user? To use such a password, you need to enable the Root user. Without the Root user enabled, then there is no Root user password to use. So, avoid using the Root user.
