Final Draft 12 on Big Sur 11.5.2

I only bought FD a couple of days ago and was working on my first script. The document was auto saving as I familiarised myself with FD. I then received an error message telling me I didn't have permission to save my document. It seems I can only save as in a different location or in the same location (my USB) under a different name or version number. Even when I save as a new name after a few moments, I am then unable to save again. The guy on the FD chat told me to contact Apple (I have a Mac), even though the problem seems to be with FD. My Mac is also brand new so I'm really not sure what to do.

What format is the pen dive? If it's EXFat it might be worth reformatting it.

That's what I thought! It does seem the problem might be with my pen drive. The sharing and permission is set to custom access. I didn't change this so I'm not sure how long it's been like this. I'm wondering if it's something to do with me upgrading to Big Sur and tighter security? I now need to work out how to fix this.

You're paying FD quite a lot of money for that app (and there are alternatives). Their support should do better because the problem is with their app.
