None of my itune purchases for TV shows or movies are showing in my itunes all of a sudden. It appears if I want to watch something I now need to download it instead of just streaming it. Is there a fix to this? I have limited space on my laptop and I do not wish to download every item I want to watch. The cloud keeps getting this error, after many reboots: We couldn't make your purchases available.

The iTunes Store is designed to prevent cross border sales. You may have difficulty accessing past purchases when you are in a different region. VPN software may or not be able to help with this issue. You might creating a new library and/or a new user profile and see if either are able to correctly access your purchase history.

Reboot your router and computer. Press and hold down option+cmd as you launch iTunes to open it in safe mode. Sign out of your Apple ID, then sign in again.

Start by ensuring that the mac is authorized to play iTunes Store purchases.

Do you have any other devices connected to the iTunes Store and if you do, are your purchases showing there? having that info would allow us to isolate this to an issue with the Mac or possibly an issue with the account.
If you don't have another device or if the purchases do not show on multiple devices, it would point in the direction of an account issue and that would require working directly with Apple Support.

Thanks - yes, my movies and tv shows show up fine on both my ipad and iphone. It was also fine on my macbook until very recently- so this is a new issue for me. I read online that this was a random problem Apple knows about (by searching for the wording We couldn't make your purchases available ) - but have not seen a posted solution.
Thanks- you may have hit on something. I was in Kabul and evacuated mid August and it was working fine before then, but I had to leave my router, which I will probably never see again. I am in a hotel now and unable to reboot the router. I tried everything else and it still doesn’t work. I am not sure why my router would matter, but that is the only common link I can see as to what has changed. I also just turned on my VPN to see if that made a difference and it doesn’t.
Thanks- I always use my American account (the only account i gave) and with my job I always live overseas, and have never had this issue before. If this was truly the issue I would not be able to access my full account on my ipad or iPhone- which I can. I will submit an apple support request.
My computer is authorized- this just recently happened. It shows my purchased music, but not my purchased tv shows or movies
