Gaming_Problems,
As we discussed, working with the game's developers is going to be the next step. There may be some settings or options to optimize the app for your device.
However, you can also make Apple aware of your feedback on Haptic vs 3D Touch and suggestions for how you'd like to see that changed to improve your usage. Apple has a website available for product feedback. Here's the link - Product Feedback
Thanks.
Good day to you Gaming_Problems,
We understand you’re encountering an issue on your iPhone with Haptic Touch. Do we have that right? Can you tell us more about what you’re experiencing?
If need be, you can adjust the sensitivity of 3D or Haptic Touch - Change 3D or Haptic Touch sensitivity on your iPhone This article also lists the devices that support Haptic Touch, should that be in question for your device.
Thank you.
So first of all, it’s not “just me” it is anyone who plays Call of duty mobile or pubg mobile and needs to use the 3D Touch feature while playing the game. The iPhone 12 Pro Max makes this fundamental in-game feature unavailable ultimately ruining any first person game on iPhone 12. If you do not understand what I am referring to then I suggest looking up ANY of the multiple videos on YouTube that address what I’m talking about. If it’s not something that will get resolved then apple will lose a lot of people who choose phones based on gaming capabilities.
Gaming_Problems,
When you go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Haptic Touch are you able to adjust the sensitivity and when testing on the Touch Duration Test, does Haptic Touch work? We want to be sure the feature is working as intended in the Apple software.
If it is, and this is issue is isolated to specific apps, you can make sure the apps are up to date, delete and reinstall, then if persisting reach out to the app's developers for additional assistance. Both of the apps you referred to show they are compatible with your model device, which does not use 3D Touch. If Haptic Touch is triggering something too quickly or slowly though, then adjusting the sensitivity can help you narrow in on just the right amount of time needed for the press and hold to make the feature work for you.
How to contact an app developer
Thanks.
My Haptic Touch is working properly, however upon further research I did find out what my problem is.
In efforts to save money and reduce internal component volume, Apple removed 3D Touch. 3D Touch was an essential advantage in mobile gaming.
End result?
Apple took 3 steps back in the mobile gaming community by removing 3D Touch and I made the mistake of not researching this prior to buying an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I have been a lifelong Apple Product consumer since iPhone 3. It has nothing to do with the game developers and every thing to do with Haptic Touch not being a better option but the cheaper option. Seeing how I bought this phone specifically for gaming, this is a huge problem. Until this terrible change in hardware is reversed, I will be selling this phone to find one that keeps mobile gaming in mind.
Apple has killed mobile gaming on there devices.
Here is another thread to which y’all have not addressed that explain this further.
