My mouse pointer started doing weird things about a month ago and I hope someone can help.

When I am browsing the web using Camino 2.0.3, the pointer seems to take on a life of its own at times and just moves to another part of the screen by itself. I've replaced the mouse I was using (the one with the scrolling ball) with the stock mouse and it still does it.

Any ideas?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions.

Does this also happen with Safari or Firefox?

Hi macjack, thanks for the response.

I haven't tried another browser lately, but will do that. I should add that I had been using Camino for a while before the problem with the pointer started, so am a little doubtful that it's the browser. But...I could be wrong.

I'll give another browser a try and see how it goes.

If you still have problems in another browser, try your mouse on a plain piece of white paper.
If it works well there, you need a new mousepad.
