Questions about family sharing Apple plus Subscription

To share a shareable subscription, you should set up Family Sharing. Then one of you would be the ‘organizer’ that invites the other(s).

• Apple TV+ is sharable in a Family Sharing group. Individual or Family, no distinction for that with this content.
• Apple Music is individual, not shareable in the Family Sharing group, unless you change the subscription to the Family subscription variant (which would be fine too, and then you can split the cost and save a bit).

Couldn't I just give her my username/password?

That would be a bad idea. Apple ID accounts are much more than methods to pay for services. It also holds your personal email, photos, purchases, tv watch history, music library, and lots of other individual preferences.

That is why Family Sharing was created how that is now. Best of both worlds: sharing and individual access through your own account.

Can I give an invite to my apple tv but not my apple music? Or is it a package deal?

There are no settings to select which shareable subscriptions to share.

She already has Apple music family. Sorry for the confusion.

You both already have Apple Music Family? Apple Music Family only makes sense with Family Sharing, and you can be in just one family sharing group at a time. That in turn confuses me.

Unfortunately, it is not supported to share with other Family Sharing groups. If you don’t join her group, or she doesn’t join your group, then the two of you can’t share this one Apple TV+ subscription.
