Return This:

Take this up with the seller, requesting a return. If they do not accept it, then contact letgo, asking the the sell be help accountable, and that you get your money back. They should have known better, and used this link, prior to selling it: What to do Before you Cell, Give Away, or Trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. If they do not sign out of it, then it is useless to you.

About the Seller:

From whom was this purchased? If this was in in-person sale, made face-to-face, then there may be nothing you can do about it. If you replied to a post on the internet or in a news paper, then contact the site or publisher, respectively, seeing if you can hold the seller accountable. Elsewise, you're out of luck.

Learn from this:

When you purchase a device, be certain that you have the person set it up anew, prior to selling it to you. Then, have them allow you to log in to it, assigning it to your own account. All of which would be performed prior to handing over the money. If the seller decides to disabide by these rules you've set forth, then do not proceed with the transaction.
