The screen of photo app is black and won’t take pictures, but if I flip to selfie mode it works just fine. What’s the fix?

It could be related – does your iPhone 8 still have its original battery?
And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...
Settings > Battery > Battery Health

Although it was time to replace the battery, it turns out my camera went out and needed to be replaced. The bad camera is also why the flashlight wasn’t working. Thanks for your help!
