On your new phone, the apps can be gotten at the App Store. See icon below.

You can log in with the email address and password of your Apple ID. If you have forgotten those, go to appleid.apple.com and click "Forgot...."

On the phone, you have to sign in in the Settings app. Carefully follow the instructions in here:

Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support

do you put email and password all in that 1 block with no spaces, or breaks or any kind?

On the Mac, enter your email address only, and then it will come back with a new screen for your password.

no mac, i tried to do it right on the phone different ways but it still wouldn't accept

When i go to Settings App, it has my full name and under that my Apple ID(email address), there is no "Sign in to your iphone".

Maybe you are already signed in. Scroll to the bottom. Do you see a "Sign Out"?
