threats of virus

I keep getting threats on calendar app and they say I have viruses that they will clear up. they also keep sending me messages that I have to get this corrected by a certain time or the viruses will get rid of my information. It's been going on for several days and they keep changing the time I must do it by.

I think this is a scam, but don't know for sure and am afraid to do anything.

If running iOS 13 or earlier versions, check: Settings - Passwords & Accounts - Accounts - Any rogue entries here? If so, delete the rogue account.

If running iOS 14, check: Settings - Calendar - Accounts - Any rogue entries here? If so, delete the rogue account.
