My Mac Book Pro 2011 is not compatible with the latest MacOS Big Sur update. My macOS is High Sierra 10.13.6. Is my Mac Book Pro an older model so that it will not be able to update to a more recent OS program?

10.13.6 High Sierra is the latest macOS version that model of MacBook Pro can run.
Its 10 years old now, so a good time to start thinking of replacing it it with a new, or at least newer model if you need to run a newer macOS version.,
macOS 10.13 is the last supported OS for a 2011 Mac.
Apple does offer ( in my location ) Refurbished computers at a reduced price ( by Apple Standards reduced ). Have purchased several over the years and yes, like new.
