Weird Display in Safari

All of a sudden a Safari search displays a second search bar labeled google & results on half of the screen. I tried to get a picture to show you but that didn't work. I would like the search results to display as they normally did. I am pretty sure there's an easy trick to fixing this. Thank you.

Hey there TortiePlusWhite,

We would be happy to assist you with Safari on your Mac.

What did it look like before this started happening?

If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected, try these steps here.

If those steps do not resolve the issue, force quit safari, and launch it again. Here is How to force an app to quit on your Mac

If force quitting does not help, Clear your browsing history in Safari on Mac. Clearing the history can help resolve issues like this.

If you are still not getting the right results in Safari, Update macOS on Mac. If the Mac is out of date, it can cause these kinds of issues.

If the search results are still showing up incorrectly, Get Support here.

Take care!
