Delete multiple conversations (conversations not messages pay attention) on Mac OS Big Sur not possible in 2021. Really?

Why is it that when people ask this question you get the answer.. "oh you delete messages this way... "NO. <<Conversations>> not messages please pay attention. Is it really not possible? iCloud Sync is supposed to be helpful yet on Big Sur your Messages app becomes a collector for garbage conversations that you have to manually go through and one by one click on and delete. Please acknowledge that it is not possible to delete multiple conversations in Apples premiere Chat app from Mac OS Big Sur. Or please provide guidance as to how to do this rapidly and quickly. This needs to be exposed and loudly broadcast so that Apple will fix this. I really cannot believe it. It is a huge detractor from the platform.

Do not tell me how to delete one conversation, or how to delete multiple messages.

Any help would be massively appreciated. How can multiple conversations be selected and deleted?

There has never been a way to delete multiple conversations in Big Sur (and I think Catalina). Also the same in iOS (but I don't remember which version).

There has never been any question as to that fact, except with those that cannot accept the reality.

@Barney-1SE Actually, you can delete multiple conversations in iOS in messages. On your phone 2 finger swipe down and its not a problem. But not in Mac OS and it wont be reflected in Mac OS via iCloud as far as I can tell as I've just done it. I appreciate your reply, kinda not the snark about accepting reality. I would contradict your point about their never being any question to the fact, because if you can do it in the messages app on iPhone why not on Mac OS. It seems like a reasonable thing someone might question. If I seemed heated its because its preposterous and have only noticed this recently. I have seen a lot of people asking to do just this all over the web. So as it is currently feasible at least to do on a phone it should be double easy to do it in Mac OS.

@babowa Thanks for the link to the feedback mechanism. I feel like that is just salt in the wound however.

I do find that media like this helps however as it provides exposure when people go searching.

Well hopefully Apple will wake up its pretty terrible behavior and inconsistent across the devices in its current state.
